About

The Mrs. LaLanne Community

Greetings LaLanniacs! Welcome to the community. I’ve created this community for educators, parents, and anyone interested in educational topics. As there are plenty of communities and platforms where politics, food, and other things are discussed, let’s keep the focus on education. This can include teaching, learning, educational policy, or even your own wonderings, especially about science.

Although my area of expertise is science, math, and engineering education, this community welcomes all subject areas as well as all grade levels. Here are a few guidelines to get us started.

  1. Please be respectful and assume positive intentions. Avoid personal attacks.
  2. Try to limit posting to around three per day. That’s not to say you can’t reply more than that, but we should share the floor.
  3. Please use your real name associated with your account. This gives us a chance to truly support each other.
  4. Don’t post pornography, graphic images or anything like that. We’ll use the “I’ll know it when I see it” policy.
  5. I may not personally endorse statements made here. All posts are made by there respective owners and may not necessarily align with my view or use, but they are still welcome.
  6. We will all do out best to hold each other accountable. Warnings will be given, but continued poor behavior will result in removal from the community.

As to who I am personally, I am a mother, wife, and new grandmother. My husband, Jason, and I sold everything we own on August 29, 2019 and now live and work remotely from our 2018 Airstream Classic along with our oldest daughter’s cat, Dorcas. I love science, history, and the National Parks.
